Some things to do throughout the year: 

• Focus on grades.
• Continue to meet with college reps at your high school, local events, or college fairs.
• If offered and available to you, attend prospective student weekends/programs.
• Involvement - clubs, activities, friendships, jobs, etc.
• Finalize your college list/plan.
• Retake fall ACT or SAT, if necessary.
• Submit all applications by their deadlines (likely 11/1, 12/15, or 1/5).
• Submit financial aid forms - typically right after your applications.
• Send enrollment deposit to your college of choice by the deadline.
• Write thank you notes to your teachers who wrote letters of recommendation for you.
• Notify the other schools you have been admitted to that you will not be attending.
• Finish strong and let colleges know of any schedule changes or drastic changes in academic performance.
