Here are the different types of admission plans:

• Rolling Admission - you may apply at any time - applications are reviewed until spots are filled.
• Early Decision 1 or 2 - This is binding. If you apply using ED1 or ED2, you are committing to attend if admitted. Deadlines are November 1st or 15th for ED1 (some may be October 15th or December 1st) and January 1st or 15th for ED2. Early Decision plans assume you have already evaluated the financial aid potential from each of your schools. Check the Net Price Calculator and communicate with the school before submitting an ED application.
• Early Action 1 or 2 - Non-binding with a deadline earlier than Regular Decision. Deadlines are usually November 1st or 15th. EA2 usually has a January 1st or 15th deadline.
• Restrictive Early Action - Non-binding, but you cannot apply Early Decision anywhere else. Deadlines are usually November 1st or 15th (some might be October 15th or December 1st).
• Regular Decision - Standard - deadlines are usually around January 1st or 15th with decisions released in late March.

Remember your work from the previous modules. Consider the following when finalizing your list of applications:

• Is your top choice a place that allows Early Decision? Would you attend that school if admitted?
• Do you need financial aid? If so, Early Decision can sometimes benefit you.
• Will grades from your first semester senior year improve your application?
• Will a new test score help your chances at your schools of choice?
• Is there a reason you should not apply to a school this fall?
